SAIPEC programme day one

Day One: African Oil and Gas Opportunities

The opening day will commence with an official ceremony and welcome addresses from senior government and industry representatives, setting the tone for three days of strategic dialogue.

A keynote address will reflect on SAIPEC’s decade-long impact on Africa’s energy sector, followed by a Regulatory Panel examining how policies and frameworks can unlock the continent’s vast energy potential.

Further sessions will include Country Spotlight Panels showcasing upstream and midstream developments across key African nations and an Investment Forum dedicated to strategies for de-risking capital deployment in regional projects.

Day Two: Gas Development and Local Content

The second day will focus on Africa’s gas revolution and the role of local content in driving industrialisation and export capacity.

The day’s keynote will explore “Africa’s Gas Opportunity – A Pillar for Industrialisation and Export,” followed by sessions on gas as a transition fuel, infrastructure development, and regional collaboration.

Dedicated panels will delve into local content policy implementation, capacity building, and procurement partnerships, highlighting success stories and new approaches to enhancing indigenous participation across the energy value chain.

The final day will shift focus to diversity, inclusion, and workforce transformation. A keynote address will examine the importance of building a diverse and future-ready African energy workforce, followed by a DEI Leadership Panel spotlighting women and youth in energy leadership.

The SPE Futures Forum will bring together young innovators, academics and entrepreneurs to share forward-looking perspectives on Africa’s next decade of energy development.

The event will close with the SAIPEC 2026 Communiqué, summarising key takeaways, resolutions and a roadmap for regional cooperation and sustainable growth.
