Session 1.1: Country Showcases – National Oil Companies

11 Feb 2025

Africa’s energy sector has an unprecedented opportunity to develop its own industry while improving energy accessibility and positioning itself amongst global energy producers.

Technological advancements, regulatory clarity, environmental stewardship, innovative financing, and local partnerships—creates a framework for advancing exploration in Africa. By prioritising collaboration between countries, stakeholders can collectively navigate the energy trilemma of ensuring energy security, economic growth and environmental sustainability in Africa’s evolving energy landscape.

This panel will showcase the opportunities across the continent in various projects, providing comprehensive insights into Africa’s offshore exploration sector while encouraging a collaborative approach among industry stakeholders, investors, and local communities to shape a sustainable and prosperous energy future for Africa. We delve in to each country’s projects, local content policies and how cross border African expertise can continue to develop emerging and mature industries.
