Engr. Saidu A. Mohammed

Engr. Saidu A. Mohammed is a 1981 graduate of Chemical Engineering from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers and a Fellow of Nigerian Society of Engineers. He retired from service as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Gas & Power Directorate of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), a position he held between 2016 to 2019.

An astute administrator with integrity, maturity, professional competence, and job knowledge with a wide of experience, which spans over 35 years in the Oil & gas industry.

In the course of his career, he held various technical, commercial, and management positions and rose through the ranks up to:

• Managing Director

• Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company (KRPC) Limited, (2014-2016);

• Nigerian Gas Company (NGC) Limited between 2010 to 2014.

• Board Chairman

• West African Gas Pipeline Company (WAPCo)

• NLNG Ship Management Services Limited (NSML)subsidiary of NLNG

• Ngas (Bermuda) Limited, owned by NNPC, Chevron and Shell

• NNPC Retail Limited

Engr. Saidu also held the following portfolios alongside his routine responsibilities while in NNPC and after retirement.

• Board Member, Presidential Task Force on Power (PTFP);

• President, Nigeria Gas Association (2012 to 2014)

• National President, Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers (2021-2023)

• Executive Board Member of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) representing the Federal Republic of Nigeria (2020 to 2023)

Engr. Saidu was born on 17th July, 1957. He plays the game of Golf at his free time.
