Ms Michelle Pflueger

Director of Deepwater and PSCs – Nigeria/Mid-Africa, Chevron International Exploration & Production

Michelle Pflueger currently works as the Deepwater Director of the Nigeria/Mid-Africa (NMA) business unit for Chevron International Exploration & Production, a role she assumed in 2023. She is based in Lagos, Nigeria.

Michelle’s career with Chevron has given her the opportunity to work in multiple countries, with leadership responsibilities ranging from roles in field operations (e.g. Offshore Installation manager on Agbami FPSO, Nigeria), to petroleum engineering (e.g. GM of Asset Development, Gulf of Mexico), to corporate leadership (e.g. GM of Digital Innovation & Acceleration). Michelle has passion around being an eternal learner and driving business value through the combination of engineering, innovation, and agility.

A native of California, Michelle received her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from University of California Berkeley in 2000 and a Master’s Degree in Applied Statistics from Texas A&M in 2011. Michelle is a member of the Society of Women Engineers and the Society of Petroleum Engineers. She is happily married with children.
