Mr Matthieu Bouyer

Graduate from Ecole Centrale in France, Matthieu BOUYER joined Total in 2005 through the Exploration & Production Facilities Engineer program. He held various high-level positions in Operations - Field Development, Engineering, Project Management and Commissioning in Africa, Asia, France, and Middle East.

In 2015, after gaining considerable experience in Operations, Matthieu joined Total’s E&P (now TotalEnergies) headquarters team as Strategy Analyst on key long-term challenges for the group.

He moved to London in 2017 in the Investor Relations Entity within TotalEnergies Financial Division where he supported the Company’s Top Executives in the relations between TotalEnergies Group and the financial market.

In November 2020, Matthieu became the Managing Director of TotalEenergies EP Qatar and Country Chair in Qatar.

Effective September 2023, Matthieu BOUYER was appointed Managing Director/Chief Executive of Total Upstream Companies in Nigeria and Representative of TotalEnergies Group in Nigeria.
