Mrs Kenechi Esomeju

Kenechi Esomeju is the Executive General Manager, People and Talent Management, in charge of all the Human Resources functions at TotalEnergies EP Nigeria Limited (TEPNG).

Her career of 29 years started in the banking industry before she moved to the oil and gas industry 22 years ago.

Since joining TotalEnergies EP Nigeria in 2002, Mrs Esomeju has worked in various teams in the Communication, Human Resources and Corporate Social Responsibility domains.

In 2014 she worked at the Head Office in France with the Technical Communications team and returned in 2017 to lead TEPNG’s Public Affairs and Corporate Communications.

In 2019, Mrs Esomeju was appointed to the TEPNG project team for a Group-wide transformation project in 2019 and combined this responsibility with various roles in the Human Resources Division. She later took charge of Corporate Social Responsibility for TotalEnergies EP Nigeria before taking her current responsibility in charge of the Human Resources function.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from the University of Nigeria and has a Master’s degree in Communication from the University of Leeds in the UK.

Kenechi Esomeju is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD); Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM); Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).

She is married and has three children.
