Sandra Ekpe Agho
Sandra Ekpe Agho is a distinguished energy executive, global ambassador, and transformational leader shaping the future of Nigeria’s energy sector. With over 15 years of cross-continental experience, she is recognized for her strong technical depth, commercial leadership, and commitment to innovation, gender inclusion, and sustainable development.
She serves as the Managing Director/CEO of SephaEnergies Limited, a 100% woman-owned and woman-led indigenous oilfield services company delivering Well Construction, Completion, Intervention, and Stimulation services. Through strategic partnerships with global OEMs and financiers, she is building scalable, execution-driven platforms that strengthen Nigeria’s local content capacity and accelerate technology deployment.
Sandra began her career with Baker Hughes as a Field Engineer, gaining hands-on operational experience across drilling, completions, and well intervention in Nigeria and the United States, before advancing into commercial and executive leadership. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics/Computer Science, postgraduate and Master’s degrees in Petroleum Engineering, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Petroleum Engineering.
In 2024, she was appointed UN Global Ambassador for the Gender Priority Strategy (GEPS) in recognition of her leadership in advancing women’s economic participation and STEM development.
She is the founder of NurtureHer STEM Development Initiative, empowering girls and young women through scholarships, mentorship, STEM training, and career pathways.
Sandra’s leadership is driven by a vision to impact lives, intentionally pave the way for women to rise and lead, and establish world-class oilfield tool manufacturing capacity in Nigeria to serve the African energy market.
