Nasir Alfa Mohammed, Esq. is the Acting Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Petroleum Commission, Ghana, and a seasoned legal practitioner with deep expertise in petroleum regulation, public policy, extractive sector governance, and energy law. He is a qualified Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana and holds an LL.M. in Petroleum Law and Policy (Distinction) from the University of Dundee’s Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP). His professional experience spans advisory work for government institutions regulators, and industry stakeholders, on regulatory compliance, international policy engagement, and academic teaching in oil and gas law. He has served on national oversight bodies, including as Vice Chairperson of Ghana’s Public Interest and Accountability Committee (PIAC), and has worked with leading policy and governance institutions across Africa. Mr. Mohammed contributes to regional and international regulatory discourse with a strong focus on transparency, accountability, and sustainable management of petroleum resources.
