Ms Michelle Obatoyinbo

Michelle Obatoyinbo is currently the General Manager of Deepwater Operations at Chevron Nigeria

Michelle received her Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lagos in 1992 and joined Chevron the following year.  Her career in Chevron has spanned roles in Nigeria and the United States of America where she has held numerous technical and management positions of increasing scope and responsibility.   In addition to her technical and management roles, she has experience across different areas of the business having taken on cross functional roles in business and strategic planning, project management, talent management and leadership development. Her responsibilities have included leading a $2B project to final investment decision and successful execution in 2008. 

As an engineer who was very often either the only female, or one of very few female engineers at University and early in her career, she is very extremely passionate about driving transformational change in the workplace that will result in advancement of female leaders. 

Michelle is married with two teenage sons and enjoys music, traveling, photography and spending time with family and friends.
