Engr. Jude Ononu
Engr. Jude Anonu is a leading authority on Nigerian Content compliance and the Director of Certification Services for the Oil & Gas Trainers Association of Nigeria (OGTAN). A spearhead for industry domiciliation, Engr. Anonu leads the QA and Certification Unit, ensuring that human capital development (HCD) in the energy sector aligns with the NOGICD Act 2010 and prestigious global benchmarks, including ISO 17065, ISO 29993, ANSI/IACET, ASTM E2659, and ISO 17024.
As a key member of several committees for Standards and Quality Implementation, he plays a pivotal role in the National Occupational Standards (NOS) framework. His work is centered on bridging the gap between rigorous international technical requirements and indigenous capacity. He possesses a prolific track record in Local Content Domiciliation, managing the end-to-end lifecycle of certification protocols—from curriculum design and accreditation to training delivery, examination, and digital record-keeping.
Engr. Anonu’s expertise is further backed by extensive consultancy for World Bank-assisted projects, where he led early recovery and economic stimulus initiatives involving complex data management and capacity building. He has also served as a Research Associate for European Union-funded projects, focusing on legislative compliance and institutional reform.
In the academic and military sphere, he previously served as Head of Department for Computer Science and Engineering Technology, successfully superintending national program accreditations under the NBTE. Currently, he continues to contribute to high-level oil and gas HCD initiatives, driving the development and validation of National Occupational Standards.
A COREN-registered Engineer and CQI/IRCA Certified Lead Auditor, Engr. Anonu holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical/Electronic Engineering & Technology Education and is currently an MBA candidate. He is distinguished as a STEM.org Certified Master Educator, specializing in the integration of emerging technologies into 21st-century learning frameworks.
