Mr. Akossi Jean Michel is a Production Engineer, graduated from the Saint Petersburg Mining University (2007). He has nearly twenty years of experience in the oil, gas, and energy sectors, with recognized expertise in project management and Local Content development.

Since July 2025, he has served as Director of Local Content in Côte d’Ivoire, with responsibilities covering the mining, hydrocarbons, and energy sectors.

From March 2022 to March 2025, he was Head of the Projects Department at the African Petroleum Producers’ Organization (APPO). He began his career at Schlumberger as a Wireline and Reservoir Evaluation Engineer before joining PETROCI, where he served as Production Engineer, Head of the Petroleum Logistics Base, and Head of the Natural Gas Networks Department.

Certified in project management and a carbon finance consultant, he is currently pursuing a PhD in marine geology and sedimentology, focusing on the decarbonization of value chains in the petroleum industry.
