Humphrey R. Asiimwe
Mr. Humphrey Asiimwe is the Chief Executive Officer of the Uganda Chamber of Energy and Minerals (UCEM He leads the Chamber’s strategic agenda driving growth, collaboration, and sustainable development across Uganda’s energy, mining, and oil & gas sectors.
Under his leadership, UCEM has strengthened its role as a key voice for private sector players, championing policy advocacy, investment promotion, and industry partnerships that advance responsible resource development and energy transition in Uganda and the region.
A seasoned executive and human capital development specialist, Mr. Asiimwe brings over two decades of experience in executive management, organizational transformation, and leadership consultancy across logistics, healthcare, and finance. He previously served as General Manager at International Medical Link and Group Human Resource Manager at Multilines International and has led numerous strategy and capacity-building initiatives through The Excellence Centre.
He also serves as Board Chairman of the East African Authorised Economic Operators Association and Board Member of the Uganda Freight Forwarders Association, where he continues to champion regional integration and trade facilitation.
Mr. Asiimwe holds a master’s degree and Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Uganda Management Institute, and a bachelor’s degree in Geology, Chemistry, and Mathematics from Makerere University. An eloquent leader and mentor, he is passionate about transformative leadership, ethical governance, and building synergies that position Uganda’s energy, mining, and oil & gas industries for inclusive, sustainable growth.
