Mr. Chris Osarumwense started his professional career with the Shell Production Development Company Nigeria Limited (SPDC), where he spent 19 years. In his illustrious career with Shell, he held many Operational and Leadership positions in Nigeria and in The Netherlands. He was at various times, Knowledge Management and Development Manager, HR Manager Western Division, Head Corporate Learning and Development, HR Adviser – Sub-sahara Africa and South America and the last being Manager, Human Resources - SNEPCO & Shell Companies in Nigeria (SCiN).

In April 2005, Mr. Chris Osarumwense took up the position of Group General Manager, Human Resources for United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc where he was to successfully lead the Human Resources merger and integration effort of Standard Trust Bank (STB) and United Bank for Africa Plc. This was a trail blazer and first of its kind in Nigeria.

In September of the same year, he joined The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) as General Manager, Group Learning Department where he had responsibility for Learning and Development across the NNPC Group, comprising 9 Strategic Business Units (SBUs) and 14 Corporate Services Units (CSUs). He successfully transformed L&D processes and systems in the Corporation and instituted Skill pool and Competence management in an effort to rebuild the technical skills base of the Corporation.

In April 2010, Chris Osarumwense was appointed Group General Manager, Human Resources for the NNPC Group, in this position he had responsibility for People and Talent Management across the NNPC Group. . In this role, Chris transformed the practice of HR in NNPC and laid the foundation for far reaching changes in staff Development, Appraisal to Reward cycle, Recruitment, Career and Succession Planning in the Group.

In November 2012, Mr. Chris O. Osarumwense was appointed Group General Manager, Business Development for the Downstream Sector where he had the responsibility for identifying, incubating and developing new businesses for the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation in the Downstream Oil and Gas and Non-Oil sectors of the economy.

He was the Managing Director, NNPC Retail Ltd prior to retiring from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation in August 2015, As MD NNPC Retail Ltd he managed a retail network of 37 Mega stations, 5 leased stations and over 550 Affiliate stations nationwide. He had responsibility for supply and distribution of Petroleum products using a fleet of over 3000 trucks to ensure product supply security in the country.

Today, he is the Managing Partner of Greenfields Consultancy and Allied Services Ltd, a consortium of industry professionals that specializes in Generating powerful business solutions for personal and corporate success. At Greenfields Consultancy, Chris has lead several Organizational Transformation and Re-engineering Projects, Business Strategy and Advisory sessions, Human Capacity Building, Manpower supply and Outsourcing, Executing Search and Head Hunting etc. Chris O. Osarumwense is a leading Oil and Gas Business professional with a proven track record in Human Resources, Operations and Commercial Functions. He has over 30 years top flight professional experience in International, Multinational and National Business Environments.

Mr. Osarumwense is a renowned Transformation Agent with well-developed ability to manage complex Change and implement Strategic Human Resources and Business Models. He is an effective Administrator and General Manager with proven achievements in Organisational effectiveness and Leading High Performance Teams in the Upstream and Downstream sectors of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry to deliver shareholders value.

Mr. Chris Osarumwense is married with two children. He has great interest in people and places, and enjoys a game of golf.
