Dr. Atika Karim

Dr Atika Karim (PhD) is currently working at ONHYM as South Offshore Department Manager, presently assigned to basin evaluation in both offshore and onshore areas. She joined RPS Energy in Halifax, Canada in 2011 to be a member of the poly-disciplinary project “Play Fairway Analysis Project of the Scotian Basin, offshore Nova Scotia”, after working 4 years at Saint Mary’s University, Halifax, as postdoctoral researcher, and researcher associate, on a Petroleum Research-Atlantic Canada (PR-AC)–funded sedimentology and diagenesis project, offshore Nova Scotia. She received a Ph.D. in geology from the University of Paris XI, France, in 2007, a M.Sc. degree from the University of Lille, France, and a B.Sc. degree from the University of Marrakech, Morocco, and the University of Bretagne Occidentale, France.
