OILSERV HORIZONTAL DIRECTIONAL DRILLING (HDD)
Due to environmental concerns and pipeline vandalism, horizontal directional drilling (HDD) is a trenchless method we employ to install pipelines across rivers, urbanized areas, and some towns. This steerable method typically requires three stages: drilling the pilot hole, reaming the hole, and product pipe pullback. It uses a surface-launched drilling equipment to install pipes, conduits, and cables.
Directional boring enables execution of the most difficult crossings on schedule and under budget while minimizing environmental impact. The passage of Telecommunication lines, Heavy Duty Cables, and Pipelines across built-up areas, trains, and across facilities are only a few of the jobs that HDD is ideal for.
