Founded in 1980, the U.S. Commercial Service is an agency of the U.S.

Department of Commerce assisting U.S. companies, particularly small and medium-sized businesses, sell in international markets.  Our network includes 108 offices throughout the United States and 112 offices overseas at US embassies and consulates in 75 countries. At U.S. Commercial Service Nigeria specifically, our objective is to support U.S. businesses in exporting goods and services to Nigeria thereby strengthening business relations between U.S. and Nigerian firms. Nigeria helps Nigerian businesses identify and connect with American exporters and manufacturers of virtually every commercially viable product and service. We help American companies identify and meet international partners, organizing high level business matchmakings meetings, coordinating trade missions, recruiting companies like yours to international buyer trade events, and facilitating entry of U.S. companies into Nigeria even as we advocate for fair trade practices. Our office also overseas five partner posts; Benin Republic, Cameroon, Gabon, Sierra Leone, Sao Tome and Principe. Our client facing team is made up of the Senior Commercial Officer (Commercial Counselor), the Commercial Officer/Attache and five Commercial Specialists cut across different sectors that offer specialized services to U.S. clients.
